Online Driver Education Is What's Happening in Wisconsin..!!
Wisconsin now allows private driving schools to give their students the option of taking the classroom portion of the program, online. New teen drivers still have to go to a driving school to get their learners permit, but will have to take their driving exam at the DMV. Parents have mixed feelings about the new provision. Some like the idea of doing it online since everything else is done online (and it saves some running around to the DMV), while others feel their kids are more likely to get the work done in the classroom. If you do decide to choose the online option, there are scammers out there with websites that won't comply with Wisconsin DMV regulations. So, be careful when choosing a driving school to insure "you're not being taken for a ride".

Parent Care Program
(by: William Bland)
The Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA), an organization representing state highway safety offices, cited parental involvement as the most important factor in keeping young drivers safe on the road. "While developmental and behavior issues coupled with inexperience impact teen crash risk, parents play a critical role in helping teens survive their most dangerous driving years." The Parent Care program has been designed to help parents and guardians effectively coach young drivers both during the Learner's Permit stage as well as after they receive their license to drive on their own. You will be your new driver's primary driving instructor, this program can help you be the best coach possible!
